About Bibi
Bibi Sánchez is a musical theater-trained actress with experience in Mexico City and New York City. She made her Off-Broadway debut in February 2024 with the role of HÊLO in the Original Musical "Barba" at Pregones PRTT directed by Luis Salgado. Last December 2023 she gave life to Barbara in "Stay" at The Vino Theatre in NYC. She is a proud member of Wincey Co. Theatre Company, pursuing the mission of educating kids in Queens, Brooklyn and New Jersey on values, all through art and musical theatre shows under the direction of Wincey Terry Bryant the Arts Director of the New Jersey Coalition against Human Trafficking.
Her theater credits include Marty Maraschino in Grease (Teatro Xola), Pilar in Legally Blonde (Teatro de los Insurgentes), Ensemble in The Rocky Horror Show (Teatro FruFru), and Chiffon in The Little Shop of Horrors (Teatro del Parque).
Bibi graduated from the Integrated Musical Theater Conservatory at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City. While pursuing her degree, she also trained as a dancer, mainly in theater jazz, Fosse style, and tap at BDC and Steps on Broadway. In Mexico, she trained at Artestudio, learning her acting technique from important Mexican directors, including Diego del Río, Rafa Maza (AMDA alumni), and Donald Bertrand.
Bibi truly pursues complex acting to make her musical theater delivery as close to reality as possible. She calls herself an actress first. Bibi is excited to perform in New York. She not only loves the city, but believes that with her cultural background, education, creativity, and passion, she can bring great things to NYC’s theater scene.
