About Bibi
Bibi Sánchez is a musical theater-trained actress with experience in both Mexico City and New York City. Her most recent credit is performing on Broadway's New Amsterdam Theatre as part of the Broadway Cares Fundraising Red Bucket Follies. Off-Broadway credits include HÊLO in the original musical Barba at Pregones PRTT, directed by Luis Salgado, and Barbara in Stay at The Vino Theatre in NYC. Bibi is proud to be a member of Wincey Co., a theater company where she contributes to educating children through musical theater shows, under the guidance of Wincey Terry Bryant, the Arts Director of the New Jersey Coalition Against Human Trafficking.
Her theater credits in Mexico include Marty Maraschino in Grease (Teatro Xola), Pilar in Legally Blonde (Teatro de los Insurgentes), Ensemble in The Rocky Horror Show (Teatro FruFru), and Chiffon in The Little Shop of Horrors (Teatro del Parque).
Graduated from the Integrated Musical Theater Conservatory at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City. While pursuing her degree, she also trained as a dancer, specializing in theater jazz, Fosse style, and tap at Broadway Dance Center (BDC) and Steps on Broadway. In Mexico, she trained at Artestudio, learning acting techniques from prominent Mexican directors.
Bibi is deeply committed to complex, truthful acting, striving to make her musical theater performances as authentic and grounded as possible. She considers herself an actress first. Bibi believes that her cultural background, education, creativity, and passion will allow her to make a meaningful contribution to NYC theater scene.
